Years 7-9 (I-III Group) wowed their two audiences on Tuesday evening with an incredible adaptation of William Shakespeare’s Macbeth.
Prior to the performance, pupils worked hard independently and as a group to finetune their characterisations and line delivery and found the advice given by Performing Arts Technician, Mike Li, particularly helpful. The performances were led by Hollie Sparrow and everyone worked incredibly hard together to ensure that every line and scene was delivered impactfully. Furthermore, students worked tirelessless in rehearsals to utilise the theatre setting to its full potential. Practising cues, music ensembles and ‘acting is reacting’, it was great to finally see the performances come to life over the weeks and months of preparation.
Students and parents should be proud of the awe-inspiring performances given by pupils on Tuesday evening. Pupils were so proud of their performances that they opted to rewatch the recordings in Options this week. As staff, pupils continue to amaze us with their wealth of talents and versatility to stretch into even the most obscure roles!
