Wellbeing and Pastoral Care
Wellbeing and Pastoral Care for International Students
At St Chris, excellent pastoral care is at the heart of our educational philosophy, ensuring that your children's school days are truly great days.
This is especially important when your child is moving to not just a new school, but to a new country with a different culture and often a different language.
A Global Perspective
Our international community at St Chris values the cultural diversity of families from around the world, providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for your children. We are experienced in supporting students from a broad range of countries, cultures and religions and actively encourage young people to practice their own faiths and beliefs in a positive and open environment.
Student Wellbeing
We believe in a holistic approach to education, focusing on the well-being of our students. Your children will not just attend school; they will embrace it, enjoying each moment, motivated to learn, and feeling a sense of belonging.
Great pastoral care means that your children will make friends, feel motivated, and engage in their schoolwork. They will grow, mature, and discover their true selves in a supportive environment.
Starting with Pastoral Care
At St Chris, great pastoral care is the foundation upon which everything else is built. Our non-uniform and first name terms break down barriers, allowing your children to be themselves while our culture fosters open communication.
We encourage young people to keep in regular contact with family and friends while they are in our care, providing support to maintain close relationships through video and telephone calls. Your child’s Adviser or class teacher and, if they are a boarder, their Houseparents, also have open and regular conversations with parents, keeping them up to date with their child’s journey.
