Meet the Senior Leadership Team
A group of people working to make the learning environment and future of our students better every day.
Comprising experienced professionals dedicated to education, the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is committed to fostering an environment where academic excellence, personal growth, and a sense of community flourish. One key aspect of their role is strategic planning. The SLT collaboratively develops and implements strategic initiatives that align with our school's ethos. They work to enhance the overall educational experience, ensuring that St Chris remains at the forefront of innovative and effective teaching methods.
There is no hierarchy at St Chris, both within the student body and in the workforce. Our SLT maintain open and transparent dialogue with students, parents, and staff. They serve as a bridge between various stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is well-informed and engaged in the shared vision of St Chris.
Moreover, the SLT is deeply involved in the academic and personal development of our students. They oversee the implementation of policies and programs that nurture a holistic education, fostering intellectual curiosity, creativity, and a strong sense of responsibility. At St Chris, we pride ourselves on our embedded democracy, and the SLT plays a crucial role in upholding this democratic spirit. By actively involving students in decision-making processes, the SLT empowers them to take ownership of their educational journey, promoting a culture of shared responsibility and accountability.
In essence, St Chris' collaborative spirit and strategic forward-planning shape the unique educational experience we offer, ensuring that every student at St Chris is truly known and understood.

Head
Rich Jones
Rich wanted to be a professional cheesemaker when growing up.
Hi, I'm Rich, Head of St Chris. I'm responsible for overseeing the School's long-term strategy. I'm proud to be part of a school that truly knows each student. You'll never hear students referred to in cohorts at St Chris. Instead our individual approach gives students the space and time to grow as individuals.

Deputy Head
Nat Baker
Nat wanted to be a clown and a firefighter when growing up. Simultaneously.
Hello! I'm Nat. As Deputy Head, I work with students and staff to support the Head by diversifying the curriculum, listening and responding to student voice, and supporting staff development. Being part of St Chris is incredibly rewarding - I am able to see the huge progress each individual makes during their time with us.

Director of Marketing and Admissions
Rhiannon Butlin
Growing up Rhiannon wanted to make the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.
Hello! I'm Rhiannon and I lead the Marketing and Admissions team who are the first people you speak to when you think about joining St Chris as a student. We develop recruitment and retention campaigns and work with partners to ensure that as many children as possible can access the fantastic education on offer at St Chris.

Assistant Head (Pupil Development and Wellbeing)
Lizzie Hedderson
Lizzie has always wanted to work with children and young people and loves that she gets to do that every day!
Hello, I'm Lizzie. I develop the PSHE curriculum to help our students understand how to make safe and healthy decisions about their wellbeing, relationships and the wider world, including finances and careers. I am passionate about learning, developing young people’s thinking skills and finding opportunities to help us all show empathy and care for others.

Chief Operating Officer
Simon Holmes
Simon wanted to be a police officer when growing up.
Hello, I am Simon. My role leads on the financial, administrative and support functions and makes sure everything is running as smoothly and efficiently as possible. I oversee the running of the business side of the school which allows Rich and the teaching staff to focus on high quality teaching and learning. I also work closely with Rich and the SLT on developing the plans for the school's future.

Assistant Head (Pastoral)
Alistair Phillips
When growing up, Alistair wanted to be a jet pilot.
Hello! I’m Alistair and I am in charge of pastoral care, all those parts of student life that happen in-between and around whiteboards, calculators, exercise books and exams. Every child is different and every experience shapes them as they grow. At St Chris, we want to make sure they grow into curious, resilient young people, who have a strong moral compass and the confidence to follow it.

Head of SEND
Kirsten Rockey
Kirsten wanted to be a teacher growing up.
Hello! I'm Kirsten and I'm Head of SEND (SENCo) at St Chris.
At St Chris we recognise that every child is different and it is my job to ensure the appropriate type of support is provided to each individual student to help them to reach their full potential.
I work closely with the pastoral team and teachers to make sure I know if students need additional support be it inside the classroom, during recreational time or in their exams.
I am passionate about helping students remove any barriers they face in their learning journey.

Assistant Head (Co-Curricular)
Emma Roskilly
If Emma didn't work at St Chris, she'd like to be designing Lego sets!
Hello! I'm Emma and I am responsible for all the exciting things that happen at St Chris outside of the curriculum. This means developing a broad and engaging Options programme, managing lunchtime and after school activities and organising a wide range of day trips and residentials. I am passionate about helping our young people find their passions, explore new things and go on challenging adventures.

Assistant Head (Sixth Form)
Jenny Savage
Growing up, Jenny wanted to be in a West End musical!
Hello! I'm Jenny. In my role leading the Sixth Form team, I am here to support our students in meeting their personal goals, as well as adapting what we offer to help prepare students for our evolving world. We help every individual student feel supported whilst becoming independent learners and guiding them towards their future path. For some, this means more academic guidance, for others it is more personal support but we have a wonderful team of teachers, tutors and heads of year who are always on hand to help.

Director of People
Zoe Weaver
I have a passion for lifelong learning. When I was young I wanted to be a dancer and I still love to dance as often as possible.
I am responsible for creating and developing the processes which enable the school to attract, develop and retain the best staff. I work with the Senior Leadership Team and colleagues to create a culture of purpose, innovation and collective success so that every staff member and student are able to flourish during their time here.
