Weekend Activities and Adventures for Boarders

Discover the lively weekend and evening programme of activities that awaits boarders at St Chris, where fun and adventure are seamlessly woven into the boarding experience.

Weekend Adventures

Every Saturday, our Full Boarders embark on a diverse range of off-campus trips and activities. From the enchanting Harry Potter Studio Tour to adrenaline-pumping go-karting, there's something for everyone. On Sundays, boarders share a delightful brunch before engaging in on-site activities, unwinding in the Boarding House, or completing the week's prep and extended study.

In addition, each year we offer a range of trips and expeditions for all St Chris students that boarders may choose to participate in, and which sometimes take place during the half-term holidays. These can be trips abroad (for example skiing in France) or closer to home (for example a horse-riding trip to Norfolk).

Even our weekly boarders can join in on the excitement! By arrangement, they can participate in the weekend trips, ensuring that more St Chris students have access to these fantastic experiences.

St Chris is located on the edge of Letchworth Garden City in Hertfordshire and benefits from exceptional access to London and Cambridge, and nearby towns such as Hitchin, Bedford and Milton Keynes, as well as having the English countryside right on our doorstep.

St Chris benefits from a 25-acre safe and secure campus on the edge of Letchworth Garden City, providing a green and relaxed haven for students. Our facilities, including an indoor swimming pool, tennis courts, skate park, fitness suite, playing fields, Theatre (ideal for movie nights), and cookery centre, are open for boarders to explore during evenings and weekends. The ICT suite and Library remain open into the evening for study purposes.
