Senior School Co-curricular Clubs & Activities
At St Chris, we are continually developing our programme of cocurricular clubs and activities to respond to pupils’ interests and facilitate their enthusiasm in a huge range of passions.
As well as the varied range of cocurricular clubs detailed below, each academic department also runs lunchtime and after school sessions to support learning and all pupils participate in the Thursday Options programme where they are encouraged to explore and try new activities.
Experience-based Learning Approach
Our cocurricular clubs provide a dynamic platform for your child to grow, explore, and connect with a diverse range of experiences. Joining a club may seem simple in its conception, however, these clubs allow our pupils to embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal development while developing friendships across academic years with peers who share their interests.
Lunchtime Clubs
Shorter clubs, usually lasting 30 minutes, run at lunchtime and are very popular. Clubs are arranged in three categories:
Sports |

There are sports clubs every lunchtime. These vary from year group to year group and depend on the season. Throughout the year they include:

Skills |
The skills programme is ever evolving with new clubs being added every term. We encourage pupils to suggest, support and even run clubs to suit their own passions and interests. Many of these clubs have their own long-established identity:
|
Wellbeing and Social |
Some lunch clubs are open for pupils to gather around a common interest, discuss and debate current affairs or to help them develop their wellbeing and mental health. Wellbeing and social clubs include:
|
After-school Clubs
Our after-school activities are a vibrant extension of the school day and last for an hour to an hour and a half. They provide a rich tapestry of experiences for your child beyond the academic curriculum, although there is also supervised study available every day after school. As with the lunchtime clubs these activities tend to change and evolve with pupil voice. After school clubs currently running include:
