Expectations of behaviour in the Boarding House are consistent with that expected in school or in your own home. Expectations of boarders are high to ensure your safety, wellbeing and the creation and maintenance of a warm and caring environment.
Boarders are encouraged to develop responsibility for their own actions. We work withing a framework to promote positive behaviour and keep our rules simple, straightforward and easy to follow:
Boarders must be polite and respectful to each other and to staff
Boarders must remain in regular contact with boarding staff.
Boarders must follow the leave procedure and must always be in time for roll call.
Boarders must attend all lessons and activities on time.
Boys’ and girls’ bedrooms are in separate areas on the boarding house; boarders should never visit the other gender’s bedrooms.
Boarders must be in their own room in line with the bedtime guidelines and follow Boarding House guidelines on electronic and mobile devices.
Boarders must ensure their room is kept neat and tidy, their bed made and laundry put away each day before departing for school.
Boarders must not use, bring, store or possess alcohol, tobacco, vaping devices or any other prohibited item to school of the boarding house.
Drugs, Alcohol, Smoking and Vaping
Illegal substances of all kinds are strictly forbidden. The School has a clear policy for substance abuse and this can be found on our website here.
Smoking (including Vapes and E-cigarettes) and drinking alcohol anywhere on the School campus, or in the local area is strictly forbidden. Parents and guardians will be informed of any infringement of this rule, which may also lead to serious disciplinary consequences including exclusion.
